Teddy was introduced to yoga in the late 90's but it wasn't until a retreat at a meditation centre in Guatamala did he come to understand his practice on a deeper, more meaningful and spiritual level.
Since that life changing experience in Guatamala, Teddy has had the privilege of studying and practicing yoga with several inspiring teachers in USA, New Zealand, and India. Each of his teachers have had a deep impact on his life and a significant influence on how he teaches his own students.
Teddy is a certified Yoga Alliance teacher and a Montessori kindergarten teacher. He enjoys teaching yoga as a form of play to children and, when teaching adults, he prefers to offer a blend of vinyasa flow, drawing inspiration from the different styles and lineages he has studied. For example, he incorporates the vinyasa sequences from Ashtanga, the attention to alignment and awareness from Iyengar and the creativity of sequencing in Hatha Vinyasa.
His classes focus on detail and the connection of breath and movement. He assists students to enhance the awareness of the mind-body relationship. The most important aspect of teaching for Teddy are his students. It is with them that he draws his inspiration and most meaningful lessons.
